The American Heartworm Society has partnered with the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) on a joint campaign, funded by an educational grant from Pfizer Animal Health, to promote awareness of the danger of heartworm disease in cats.
The KNOW Heartworms campaign, launched at the 2007 North American Veterinary Conference, is a public awareness initiative to educate veterinarians and cat owners about the threat of heartworm disease and the importance of prevention.
